Tyler Oakley/YouTuber Adam Rippon, a figure skater, will be representing the United States at Pyeongchang 2018.  The 28-year-old recently talked to YouTuber Tyler Oakley about being the first openly gay athlete to compete for the US in the Winter Olympics.  Rippon said as proud as he is of the title, he also finds it a little weird.  "It's 2018. It's so hard to think that I'm the first openly gay winter athlete." Rippon said it's important for him to be "open and share" who he is, because it gives kids someone to look up to.  Rippon also spoke to Oakley about the stereotypes associated with male figure skating and sexuality.  "It's such an eye roll. Like 'Of course you're gay — you're a figure skater.' Not everybody is gay in figure skating. Maybe I wouldn't be f------ single." SpaceX/Youtube SpaceX's Falcon Heavy rocket successfully launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Tuesday afternoon. Instead of carrying steel or concrete to test the rocket's capabilities, it launched a Tesla Roadster, helmed by a dummy named Starman. The Roadster has three cameras, which should provide some "epic views" of the journey to Mars orbit, Musk said. Elon Musk and SpaceX could have tested the Falcon Heavy rocket's ability to launch heavy objects into space the traditional way: by loading it with massive blocks of concrete or steel. But instead, Musk launched his own midnight-cherry-red Tesla Roadster on Falcon Heavy, which successfully lifted off from its launchpad at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Tuesday afternoon.See the rest of the story at Business InsiderNOW WATCH: 5 common 'facts' about Earth that everyone gets wrongSee Also:SpaceX just released a new animation of its huge Falcon Heavy rocket launch, showing exactly what to expect tomorrowElon Musk plans to launch a Tesla Roadster to Mars orbit this week — and a new photo shows a dummy driver called ‘Starman’SpaceX has received permission from the US government to launch Elon Musk's car toward MarsSEE ALSO: Elon Musk: 'If we are successful in this, it is game over for all the other heavy lift rockets'

Getty Images Quentin Tarantino defended filmmaker Roman Polanski in a 2003 interview with Howard Stern by saying the 13-year-old girl with whom Polanski had unlawful sex "was down with it." Tarantino became the subject of controversy on Saturday when actress Uma Thurman said in a New York Times story that Tarantino made her do a dangerous car stunt in "Kill Bill" that injured her. In the same story, Thurman alleged that Harvey Weinstein sexually assaulted her. SpaceX/YouTube On February 6, Elon Musk and SpaceX plan to launch the Falcon Heavy rocket, carrying a Tesla Roadster. An animation that SpaceX uploaded to YouTube on Monday shows the ideal sequence of events, all set to music by David Bowie. Plenty could go wrong or blow up during the launch, but if things work out, there will eventually be a Tesla Roadster orbiting Mars. If all goes as planned, there will soon be a midnight cherry "original Tesla Roadster, playing [David Bowie's] Space Oddity, on a billion year elliptic Mars orbit," according to Elon Musk. Netflix Netflix released "The Cloverfield Paradox" right after the Super Bowl. Critics are calling it a "trainwreck," and it has a 16% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This is a surprise, since the other two movies in the franchise were well-received by critics, especially 2016's "10 Cloverfield Lane."   Netflix released a trailer for "The Cloverfield Paradox," the highly anticipated third movie in the "Cloverfield" franchise, during the Super Bowl on Sunday night. And then it released the movie on Netflix right after the game. This was shocking given that, as of early January, Paramount was set to release the movie in theaters in April. The reveal stunt was great, but unfortunately critics hate the movie. Right now, it has a 16% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The first movie, "Cloverfield" (2008), has a 77% rating, and the second movie, "10 Cloverfield Lane," has an impressive 90%. So why is "The Cloverfield Paradox" so bad? We collected some of the rotten reviews from critics to give you an idea. You can watch the trailer below, and you can watch "The Cloverfield Paradox" on Netflix right now.  Youtube Embed:http://www.youtube.com/embed/8brYvhEg5AwWidth: 560pxHeight: 315px  "A trainwreck of a sci-fi flick bent on extending a franchise that should have died a peaceful death almost exactly one decade ago." Netflix The Hollywood Reporter "Perhaps what makes The Cloverfield Paradox so frustrating is that it squanders the gifts it has been given." Netflix Slashfilm "The true paradox of this movie is that those enjoyably wild twists alone would've made this film a whole lot of fun to watch with a big multiplex audience, even as inconsistent and ultimately illogical it turns out to be." YouTube/themoviechannel Wayne Berendhuysen, Dutch cosplayer, has created an Iron Man armor suit that actually has working parts. Its mask opens and closes just like the real thing, and it has both repulsor beams built into the arms and rocket boosters on its back. Berendhuysen says channeling his creative side into this project helped him through his depression.  "Iron Man" fans will be left thinking anything is possible after seeing this amazing fan-made suit. Over the years, Tony Stark has done plenty of weird and wonderful things with his Iron Man armor, and although there have been the occasional Iron Man armor style missteps, such as that odd nose or exceptionally chunky boots, in general the Iron Man series has a long legacy of making its hero look incredibly cool. As such, it’s no surprise to see others trying to get in on the "Iron Man" armor action. Within the Marvel universe, a number of other characters have donned suits over time, with even The Punisher getting his hands on the War Machine armor to make Frank Castle even more lethal. However, nothing quite beats the fan-made Iron Man suits, and comic and movie fans have tried to recreate Tony Stark’s designs plenty of times.See the rest of the story at Business InsiderNOW WATCH: JIM ROSS: Here's who will take over WWE after Vince McMahonSee Also:'Modern Family' star Sarah Hyland just brilliantly exposed sexist double standards on social media10 of the most shocking royal family feuds in historyThe internet is conviced that Margot Robbie's doppleganger is an actress from decades ago
